Honing in on local nights, and independent venues ‘Together On the Floor’ taken across various dance floors in the North West situates itself in a wider lineage of nightlife photography which takes seriously the experience of people on a night out. As the dancers in the images cling to each other in their best dress while outside the dancefloor the United Kingdom experiences an ever-increasing rise of the cost of living and political turmoil, the project poses the coming together of people as a holy holy activity, and invites you to see it so too.
